Bond

A bond is a fixed-income instrument that represents a loan made by an investor to a borrower (typically corporate or governmental). A bond could be thought of as an I.O.U. between the lender and borrower that includes the details of the loan and its payments.
Example: I'm investing in bond instead of stocks.

a person or organization that takes and uses something belonging to someone else with the intention of returning it.
Example: I borrow money to the bank. That makes me a borrower.

Noun
A broker is an individual or firm that acts as an intermediary between an investor and a securities exchange. A broker can also refer to the role of a firm when it acts as an agent for a customer and charges the customer a commission for its services.
Example: I invest with brokers for my stocks.

The value of the shares issued by a company.
Example: I own 62% of the group's equity.

ETF
Noun
An exchange-traded fund (ETF) is a type of pooled investment security that operates much like a mutual fund. Typically, ETFs will track a particular index, sector, commodity, or other asset, but unlike mutual funds, ETFs can be purchased or sold on a stock exchange the same way that a regular stock can.

A fund is a pool of money that is allocated for a specific purpose. A fund can be established for many different purposes: a city government setting aside money to build a new civic center, a college setting aside money to award a scholarship, or an insurance company that setts aside money to pay its customers’ claims.

Index funds are investment funds that follow a benchmark index, such as the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq 100.

Example: My fees are very low this year.

The money market refers to trading in very short-term debt investments. At the wholesale level, it involves large-volume trades between institutions and traders. At the retail level, it includes money market mutual funds bought by individual investors and money market accounts opened by bank customers.

What is a simple definition of stock?
A stock (also known as equity) is a security that represents the ownership of a fraction of a corporation. This entitles the owner of the stock to a proportion of the corporation's assets and profits equal to how much stock they own. Units of stock are called "shares."
